Privacy Policy

§ 1 General

Your personal data (e.g. title, name, address, email address, telephone number, bank account details, credit card number) will be only processed by us in accordance with the provisions of German data protection law. The following provisions provide information regarding the type, scope and purpose of collecting, processing and using personal data. This Data Protection Declaration only applies to our websites. If you follow any links on our pages to third party pages please see the information on those third party websites as to how they deal with your data.

§ 2 Automatic data collection

For technical reasons data transmitted to us by your Internet browser are collected. This includes:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • The website wherefrom you are visiting us (Referrer URL)
  • The website you visit
  • Date and time you accessed our website
  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address

These anonymous data will be separated from any personal data you provide and cannot be traced back to a specific person. They are analysed for statistical purposes in order to optimise our website and the services we provide.

§ 3 Inventory data

Your personal data will solely be used to implement the contract to the extent it is required to establish, design or alter the contractual relationship (inventory data). For example in order to deliver goods your name and address must be forwarded to the supplier. Your personal data will not be forwarded to third parties who are not related to implementing the contract without your express consent or legal basis on which to do so.

In individual cases we are permitted to disclose information regarding inventory data upon request by the responsible bodies, where required for the purpose of law enforcement, hazard prevention by the police authorities of the German states, to fulfil the statutory tasks of German federal and state authorities in defence of the constitution, the German Federal Intelligence Agency or military counterintelligence service, or to enforce intellectual property rights.

§ 4 Usage data

Your personal data which are required to enable the use of our services and payment of the charges related to (usage data) will be used to implement the contract. Usage data include, in particular, attributes to identify you, information regarding the beginning, end and scope of your respective usage and information about the teleservices you have used. We may transfer usage data for the purposes of invoicing (so-called invoicing data) to other service providers or third parties provided this is for the purposes of invoicing the user. These usage and invoicing data will be erased after all our claims have been settled in full. Data shall be blocked, not erased, if there is a retention period specified by law, bye-law, or contractual provision.

In addition we will use such usage data for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or needs-based design of our services to create usage profiles with pseudonyms. You are entitled to object to your usage data being used in this manner. These user profiles will not be associated with your personal data.

§ 5 Cookies

So-called cookies are used to recognise multiple usage of a website’s offer by the same user. Cookies are small text files which are placed onto your computer by your Internet browser and saved. They assist in optimising our website and the services we provide. The cookies used are so-called session cookies which are deleted at the end of your visit. No personal data are collected by these cookies.

§ 6 Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files which are saved on your computer and enable the analysis of your usage of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your usage of this website is transmitted to Google's server in the USA and saved there as a general rule. Where IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within the area of Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your usage of the website, to compile reports about website activity and to provide the website operator with further services associated with website usage and Internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of the Google Analytics service will not be linked to other data held by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the corresponding setting in your browser software; however we advise against this because in this case not all of the functions of this website may be completely utilised. In addition, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to the usage of the web site (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in which is available at: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
